The Compliance Team’s Strategic Role
The Compliance function at OKX ensures adherence to regulatory obligations while fostering a risk-aware culture. This team provides critical guidance on enterprise risk and market conduct across the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Compliance Framework
- Develop and enhance compliance programs for the Americas, aligning with global standards and local regulations.
- Focus on market expansion, including derivatives and digital assets.
Regulatory Engagement
- Serve as primary liaison with U.S., Canadian, and Bahamian regulators (e.g., CFTC, FINTRAC, Central Bank of The Bahamas).
- Oversee examinations, audits, and reporting.
Product and Market Compliance
- Advise on compliant launches of financial products and services.
- Manage U.S. Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs) and Canadian provincial licensing.
Risk Mitigation
- Lead AML/CFT programs, sanctions screening, and consumer protection protocols.
- Conduct regional risk assessments in collaboration with central teams.
Team Leadership
- Mentor the Americas compliance team, promoting professional growth in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- 12–15 years in senior compliance roles within financial services.
- Expertise in U.S. (BSA, OFAC), Canadian (FINTRAC), and Bahamian regulations.
- Experience with CFTC licensure and derivatives markets preferred.
- Advanced degrees (JD, MBA) valued.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $240,000–$360,000 (based on experience and location).
